Cecil, Evelyn and Rydia arrived at the Lair of Antillion, and they quickly ventured through the cavern into the core. Evelyn walked forward, and two giant pinchers rose out from the ground around Evelyn.
“Ohh!” cried out Rydia
“Worry not. Antillion is tame. I will take the Sand Ruby.” Replied Evelyn calmly, walking forward. As she did so, the pinchers attacked Evelyn, who jumped out of the way just in time.
“No!” she cried as Antillion climbed out of the sand and turned on Evelyn. Cecil and Rydia ran forward. As one of Antillion’s pinchers attacked Cecil, he jumped up, and sliced Antillion. Crying out, Antillion slashed Cecil across the arm, and he staggered back.
“ICE!” cried Rydia, and Antillion was frozen. Cecil ran forward, and kicked Antillion, smashing him into a million pieces. Edward slowly picked up the Sand Ruby.
“It can’t be! Why did Antillion attack us?” asked Evelyn.
“We’ve seen more monsters everyday. Tame creatures are getting aggressive day by day. It must be a portent of some type…” replied Cecil.
“Let’s go cure Rosa!” said Rydia.
“Oh. Yes.” Said Cecil, and they returned to Kaipo.

When they got there, they rushed right to where Rosa was, and Cecil crushed the ruby into a drink, which he fed Rosa. She slowly came to.
“Oh…Cecil!”
”Rosa…”
“I thought you were lost ever since that earthquake in Mist. But I couldn’t believe it.” Said Rosa.
“I’m sorry. I worried you. By the way…who is Golbez?” replied Cecil.
“The King invited him to the Red Wings. The King is not his usual self. He seems to be Golbez’s puppet to collect the crystals. The crystal of water from Mysidia is already in his hands. But the other crystals…The crystal of fire is in Damcyan, and the crystal of Air in Fabul and the crystal of earth in Toroia” She explained. Evelyn looked away.
“The crystal of Fire is already gone…” she said sadly.
“That’s Evelyn, Princess of Damcyan. And this girl, she’s Rydia, of the Mist.” Said Cecil.
“You okay?” Rydia asked Rosa.
“Yes, thank you. Damcyan has already been attacked? Then the target is…Fabul! We must hurry!” said Rosa, as she started coughing heavily.
“Rosa…you must rest. We’ll go to Fabul.” Said Cecil.
“But we must go through Mountain Hobs to get to Fabul…and the entrance is blocked by thick ice.”
“Rydia, can you use the spell of fire?” asked Rosa
“No! No I-I can’t!” she stuttered.
“You’re a caller. Black magic should be easy for you, Rydia.” She said.
“Rosa…you must rest!” said Cecil.
“I am alright…and I’m a white wizard. I won’t bother you.” Rosa replied. There was an awkward silence between Cecil and Rosa. Finally Evelyn spoke up.
“Rosa wants to be with you…can’t you see that, Cecil?”
“Okay Rosa, let’s go together. But it’s too late tonight, let’s all take a rest and leave in the morning.” Cecil said. They all agreed, and went to bed.

The next morning, they quickly arrived at Mountain Hobs, where they were met with the ice barrier.
“C’mon Rydia, cast the spell of fire!” said Rosa. Rydia looked away.
“Rydia…” said Evelyn.
“You can do it!” said Rosa.
“…No.” said Rydia.
“No?” asked Rosa.
“I hate fire!” yelled Rydia.
“She’s afraid of fire because her village was destroyed in a horrible fire…which I was no part of, not me, no siree…” said Cecil. Rosa nodded with understanding.
“Rydia, you’re the only person that can melt this ice.” Said Rosa. Rydia said nothing.
“And if we can’t get through here to Fabul, more innocent people will die.” Rosa continued.
“Please, Rydia…” said Evelyn. Rydia nodded, and walked forwards.
“…fire” she said, and fire came out of her fingertips, quickly melting the ice, then disappeared.
“Great job, Rydia! Let’s go!” said Rosa, and they began their trek through the mountain.

Towards the top of the mountain, they saw a man being surrounded by mysterious creatures.
“Who’s that?” asked Cecil
“He must be a Karate Fighter of Fabul!” said Evelyn.
“ACHOOOOO!” cried the man as he jump kicked two of the monsters. The other three closed in on him. He grabbed one, and threw it into another one, and the two of them flew off the side of the mountain. He did a quick karate kick, sending the third into submission. A huge, glowing bomb closed in on him.
“This will not be so easy…” said Evelyn.
“Let’s help!” cried Rydia, and the four of them joined the Karate Man.
They all started attacking the giant bomb. It then exploded into six smaller bombs. The explosion knocked down the heroes, but they quickly recovered and took down the remaining bombs.
“Thank you. I am Yang, the Karate Master of Fabul. We were training when they attacked us.” Said the man.
“We were on our way to Fabul.” Replied Cecil.
“Golbez is using Baron to get the crystals…” said Rosa.
“That means they will try to capture our crystal of air as well!” said Yang.
“No doubt. Damcyan was already attacked and robbed of its crystal.” Said Evelyn.
“Fabul is next!” said Cecil
“But…! We are defenseless! I am the only survivor of our main forces. The ones in the castle just started their training.” Said Yang sadly.
“Golbez must have sent those monsters…” said Rosa.
“To keep us busy while they attack Fabul!?” said Yang
“They’ll be attacking any minute!” said Cecil. Yang looked skeptically at Cecil.
“But you’re a black knight…”
“Listen, it’s not only your problem, but ours too.” Explained Cecil.
“I am …now…the Queen of Damcyan” said Evelyn, realizing her duty.
“Rosa and I were in Baron. And this is Rydia. I was fooled by the King of Baron and was forced to kill her mother.”  Yang thought for a moment.
“I see, you all have your own reasons. Will you help me then?” he said.
“Of course! Let’s go!” said Cecil, and they raced towards Fabul.

As they raced to the Castle of Fabul, they noticed that the attack hasn’t started, and rushed to the King’s room. Yang walked right up to the King.
“Yang…” said the King.
“King! The Baronian mobilized his forces to take our Crystal of Air! The one behind his attack is allegedly Golbez.” Explained Yang
“Truly!?” exclaimed the King.
“These people came to let us know.” Said Yang
“Who…are these people?” asked the King.
“We have no time to waste! The security of this castle must tighten immediately!” said Cecil, walking forward.
“But you’re a dark knight of Baron. Can I really trust you?” asked the King.
“King! They are trustworthy! They came to my defence when I was attacked.” Said Yang.
“Not a moment is to be lost!” exclaimed Cecil
“There is no time!” said Rosa. There was an awkward silence when Evelyn walked forward, beside Yang.
“It is good to see you again, sir.” She said.
“Oh! Princess Evelyn!” replied the King
“Damcyan, too, has suffered from the attack and had our crystal stolen! I lost my parent and beloved friend! Would you let the same thing happen to Fabul!?” she said.
“I am sorry for the misunderstanding. Will you help us defend the crystal?” said the King. The party agreed.
“They are all excellent combatants! I ask they take the forefront!” said Yang.
“Very well! I leave the matter in your hands! Girls, would you like the take the office of relief?” said the king.
“Certainly!” said Rosa and Rydia. Evelyn shook her head.
“I wish to fight…I hid while they attacked my kingdom, I must help defend yours!” The King nodded, and left with Rosa and Rydia.



“Glad to have you with us, Evelyn. Now, Cecil!” said Yang, and they went to the front of the castle. Just then, some Baron guards arrived, and they three quickly cut them all down. However, the battle was going badly as they had no way to hurt the Red Wings bombardments from above.
“Retreat!” yelled Yang, and they ran inside and closed the gate. As they got inside, Yang turned to Evelyn and Cecil.
“I’m sorry!  I dragged you into a hopeless war!” he said, as all hope left his eyes. Cecil walked up, and smacked Yang hard.
“I told you, the cause of this war is not yours alone! And…we haven’t lost yet!” Just then, the door burst open and the enemy came charging in. While the three were handling themselves, the other fighters were rapidly dying, and they retreated once more into the King’s room.
“The king has already taken refuge with the women and children, so draw the enemies and…” Yang was interrupted as that door was destroyed.
“and smash ‘em!” he cried and they charged the door. They quickly cut down the guards, and when there was a lull in the fight, Cecil asked Yang where the crystal was.
“Upstairs!” said Yang. Suddenly, the remaining guard walked over, and unlocked the door.
“What are you doing!?” exclaimed Yang, and the ‘guard’  turned into a monster who attacked them. They took him down, and decided to retreat to the crystal room. The door was kicked open, and flew, hitting Evelyn and taking her down.
“It’s been a while, Cecil.”
“Kain! You’re a live!” cried Cecil, running towards him.
“Yeah.”
“Fight with us!” said Cecil.
“Surely. But against you, Cecil!” said Kain
“Kain?”
“Single combat, Cecil!”
”No! Kain? Kain!” exclaimed Cecil as Kain buried a spear in Cecil’s stomach.
“What’s wrong ?!” said Cecil, falling to the ground.
“……..HA!”
“You’re…under Golbez’s…control…” muttered Cecil.
“I’ll put you out of your misery!” said Kain, pulling a dagger.
“You can’t!” said Yang and Cecil slowly looked at him, holding the dagger at Cecil’s throat.
“NO!” screamed Rosa as she and Rydia walked into the room.
“Rosa!” said Kain.
“Kain, why you!”
”Don’t look at me!!!” said Kain, as he looked down.
“Why so sad, Kain?” said another, unknown voice, as a new figure walked into the room. Evelyn stumbled to her feet.
“Golbez!” she exclaimed.
“You’re Golbez!” said Cecil.
“And you are Cecil. Glad to see you…and take my greeting!” said Golbez as he picked up Cecil, and threw him against a wall, breaking many of his ribs.
“Cecil!” cried Evelyn
“No!” cried Yang.
“HA!” laughed Golbez, and sent a bolt of lighting forth, subduing both of them.
“That’s enough heroics for today. Kain, take the crystal.”
“Yes, master!” said Kain, walking forward.
“No, Kain!” yelled Rosa, who stopped in his tracks.
“Don’t…” gasped Cecil.
“Is this girl so important to you? Very well then. I’ll see you again, and I’m taking her as a token of your promise. Come, Kain!”  Said Golbez, as he snatched Rosa and left. Kain picked up the crystal, and walked towards Cecil.
“You had a narrow escape, Cecil!” said Kain, as he kicked Cecil hard in his gut, hitting the broken ribs forcefully. Cecil cried out in pain, and Kain left with the crystal.
“W-wait!” said Cecil, and then recoiled in pain. Rydia walked around the room, looking at her fallen friends.
“CURE!” she shouted, and they suddenly got to their feet.
“Are you okay?” asked Rydia.
“Yeah, thanks Rydia. But they took Rosa…” said Evelyn.
“And the crystal…” said Yang.
“Rosa…”Said Cecil. The three of them became rather depressed. After a while, Rydia looked at them.
“C’mon! Rosa’ll be okay! And we can take back the crystal too!” she said.
“That’s right!” said Evelyn
“We will help you this time. Heal the wound and let us think about how to rescue Rosa.” Said Yang.
“Thank you…”Said Cecil, and they decided to take a day to rest at the castle.
